| Lehigh Acres Middle School is a uniform school. It is our
belief that dressing appropriately will help to create a
positive, healthy and safe atmosphere. Student dress that is
offensive, detracts from the learning process, or creates a
health / safety problem will not be permitted.
A school is
frequently judged as much by the appearance of its students as
well as the caliber of its academic programs. Proper appearance
is conducive to a positive self-concept and enhances a child's
ability to learn.
Dress and grooming are the responsibility of the parent
and the student. Violations of the dress code will result in
a warning in which the parent will be contacted to correct the
issue. Further violations could result in the parent needing to
remove their child from school until the student’s dress is in
compliance. Students who violate the dress code will be sent to
the time-out room to call home for a change of clothing. Any
family experiencing economic hardship can contact their guidance
counselor to see if previously donated uniforms are available.
